Old East Dallas is one of those neighborhoods that resists easy description. Swiss Avenue — the historic boulevard with its parade of Prairie-style mansions and Craftsman bungalows — feels like you've stepped into a different century. It's one of the first historic districts in Texas, and the trees arching over the street have had a century to perfect their shade game.
